Sarah Rushton
Employment
Sarah qualified as a solicitor in 1994 and joins us from Forsters where she was Head of Employment.
Her previous experience includes being a senior in-house Employment Counsel with ICAP, the world's largest inter dealer broker, dealing with all aspects of employment law for its UK based staff and a number of overseas offices. Her experience was hugely practical covering a range of national and international employment issues and HR matters. Prior to her time at Garban she was in private practice at a senior level. Her experience includes:
- The drafting of service agreements and staff handbooks
- Sex and race discrimination claims
- Disability discrimination claims
- Unfair and wrongful dismissal disputes
- Redundancy
- Compromise agreements
- Breach of post termination restrictions, garden leave covenants and unlawful inducement claims
- Consultancy agreements
- Disciplinary and grievance issues
- TUPE issues
- Partnership disputes
Sarah was shortlisted in 2009 for The British Legal Awards assistant solicitor of the year award.
