James qualified in New Zealand in 1999 after graduating from Canterbury University with degrees in Law and Arts. After relocating to London in 2002 he worked in the Property and Licensing Department of Winckworth Sherwood. He was admitted as a solicitor in England in 2004 and joined Dawsons' Property Department in 2006.
James deals with a broad range of commercial property matters with a focus on all aspects of property development, particularly from an affordable housing perspective, and landlord and tenant including acquisitions, disposals, renewals and management. He acts for a range of clients including individuals, companies, charities and a number of housing associations.
He is recommended for social housing by the 2009 edition of the Legal 500.
